mount adanac
VISUAL IDENTITY | EVENT BRANDING | MOTION GRAPHICS
Formally known as Adanac Ski Hill, the old visual identity was identical to the City of Greater Sudbury due to being owned by the city. It completely lacked any personality, instead being very corporate and unappealing to a large demographic. The location of Adanac is ideal, being accessible by walking, public transit, ride-sharing, and small-motorized vehicles. However, the space is completely wasted by no one taking advantage of the large area surrounding the ski hill.
Mount Adanac was created to serve as the rebrand for the area. Adanac is no longer just a winter recreational space, but instead an all-seasons community space that invites the surrounding community to connect, converse, and play, right in their backyards. It is transformed into a place that can be loud -- holding concerts, special sporting events, and competitions -- but it can also be quiet -- having walking trails, animal watching, and indoor spaces. In a world that is slowly eliminating third places, it is important to create one that can support many different activities.
